Singapore-Philippines Student's Forum 2024

Singapore-Philippines Student's Forum 2024

About

The Singapore-Philippines Student’s Forum represents The Global Citizen Education Group’s efforts to commemorate the ongoing relations between Singapore and the Philippines. Consisting of three components - (1) Panel Speeches, (2) Cultural Exchange, and (3) a Group Project, SPSF 2024 hopes to offer students a unique and exciting opportunity for students to forge long-lasting connections, celebrate their cultural differences, and contribute to a longstanding partnership between Singapore and the Philippines. This forum not only cultivates a sense of global citizenship but also equips students with essential skills in communication, collaboration, and cultural competence, preparing them for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
Moreover, the Singapore-Philippines Student’s Forum serves as a platform for educators from Singapore and the Philippines to come together, share best practices, and explore opportunities for collaboration. As educational landscapes continue to evolve, there is a growing recognition of the importance of global perspectives in shaping curriculum and pedagogy. By facilitating dialogue between educators, this forum enables the exchange of innovative teaching methods, curriculum ideas, and cross-cultural learning experiences. Through these interactions, educators can gain valuable insights into the educational systems of both countries, identify areas for mutual growth, and establish partnerships that enrich the learning experiences of students on both sides.

Program Objectives

  • Foster deep cross-cultural understanding and connections between Singaporean and Filipino students through immersive experiences and open dialogue.
  • Strengthen bilateral relations by empowering young participants to form lasting friendships and act as diplomatic ambassadors between Singapore and the Philippines.
  • Encourage collaborative problem-solving and innovative thinking among students to address shared challenges and opportunities.
  • Cultivate confident and globally aware youth leaders equipped with enhanced language skills, who can engage in discussions on global issues and drive positive change.
