In partnership with The Global Citizen Education Group, the Harvard Undergraduate Global Education Movement (HUGEM) is delighted to announce the local edition of the HUGEM Southeast Asia Workshop on Innovation and Leadership (HWIL) in Manila designed to engage and inspire the brightest young minds across the Philippines.
HWIL Manila is an intensive two-day program designed to provide our participants with a deep understanding of leadership and to equip them with practical skills they can take back and implement in their everyday lives. The program will cover topics such as leveraging our networks, collaborating efficiently with team members, effective public speaking, as well as engaging in critical thinking and problem solving.
Our immersive seminars and interactive discussions for the HWIL Manila will center on two key tracks that are closely guided by the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities. In a society where social gaps and education opportunities become wide, this workshop is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to embrace sustainable practices in their personal and professional lives.
Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and expert-led sessions, you will gain a deep understanding of key sustainability principles, such as lifelong learning, social inclusion, and equality and equity. This workshop will inspire and guide you to act and contribute to these SDGs towards a more sustainable future.
During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with like- minded individuals who share your passion for sustainability. Our experienced facilitators will guide you through practical exercises, enabling you to develop actionable strategies to integrate sustainability into your daily routine or business operations. From exploring different education situations to discussing reducing the social gap between different sectors, this workshop will provide you with a holistic perspective on sustainable development. Together, we will not only explore the challenges our society faces but also discover the immense potential for positive change that lies within each of us.
