About

In partnership with The Global Citizen Education Group, the Harvard Undergraduate Global Education Movement (HUGEM) is delighted to announce the HUGEM Social Innovation Summer Camp designed to empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to drive social change through a series of workshops, case studies and field trip.

The HUGEM Social Innovation Summer Camp 2024 is a week-long comprehensive summer enrichment program that highlights social innovation workshops, community immersion, and problem-solving case studies. Through this camp, students will have an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded students on creating solutions on global issues in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Social Innovation. At the end of the camp, students will present their social innovation projects to culminate what they learned in the program.

Why should you join us?

With the goal of immersing students on understanding global issues and creating innovative solutions, this camp will cover topics and workshops on sustainable development, social innovation, leadership, and self-development. Students will go through a series of workshops that will build their skills on problem-solving, public speaking, and critical thinking.

  • Experience international programs in a local context. Students will have an opportunity to connect to international trainers from Harvard and experience a globally-benchmarked program without going out of the country.
  • Collaborate with student-leaders on innovative solutions. Students will be engaged in a series of activities that will foster team collaborations on creating solutions on global issues that matter to them.
  • Engage in hands-on workshops and community immersions. Students will have hands-on activities that will require them to think critically and analyze global problems integrating what they learn in the community immersion segment of the camp.
