Coding for Sustainability

This introduces middle and high school students to sustainability concepts and coding using Scratch and Python. Participants will create projects addressing sustainability challenges and develop ethical coding practices.

Course Overview

The 8-week "Coding for Sustainability" workshop is a comprehensive and immersive program designed for junior and senior high school students. Participants will embark on a transformative journey, starting with an introduction to the multifaceted concept of sustainability and an exploration of coding basics using Scratch and Python. Throughout the workshop, students will engage in interactive activities, create coding projects related to sustainability, and gain a deeper understanding of the ethical responsibilities that come with coding. This workshop empowers students to harness the potential of coding to address pressing sustainability challenges, fostering creativity, collaboration, and ethical awareness.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
